Community Event: West Whiteland Twp. Public Open House

Description

The West Whiteland Township Board of Supervisors and Staff seek input from residents and business owners to assist in planning for the Township’s future by taking a survey as part of its Comprehensive Plan update. The survey will assist in identifying key issues, opportunities and priorities to incorporate into the update. We also would like to invite you to the first Public Open House for the Comp. Plan update on October 29^th from 4:00-8:00pm at the Township Building (101 Commerce Dr. Exton). Please take the survey and forward this information about this important effort to your residents, tenants, neighbors, family, friends, and business partners who live work and play in West Whiteland Township.

A comprehensive plan is a long-range planning document that assists in guiding a community’s vision, goals and strategies for future growth and (re)development over a period of 10 years.

The Township recently applied and was awarded a planning grant from the Chester County Planning Commission’s Vision Partnership Program (VPP) to update the current 30-year old plan to focus on the built and natural environments, transportation/mobility, community facilities, flood/stormwater management and town center area to meet today’s standards and the more importantly, the community’s vision, goals and priorities for the next 10 years.
